With interest the human mind is capable of doing anything that it conceives an it is therefore necessary to at least have a basic interest on something that you would like to carry out. Some people are in in careers they are in simply out of interest and not what they studied in college. Most electricians say that besides going to college and learning in a classroom set- up, it is what they learnt as apprentices that has enabled them to be where they are today. Asking as many questions as possible from the people you are learning from is important. I have come across to- be electricians who are learning on the job though they have not done an electrical course. Their biggest worry is that because they have read in class then that means that they will be incompetent which is not the case. If you are one of them it is good to know that you can get information on electrician in reading books and other materials on the subject. The net is also another good avenue where you can read a lot. So as you start out on being an electrician either before joining college or if you are learning on job there is no need to worry.
