Making an Accident Claim

There are particular rules with regards to making an accident claim, that it could be worth being aware of. Firstly, you can only make an accident claim if you can prove that the accident was not your fault. You may know that it was not your fault, but you need to be able to prove it to the judge. The other party may have evidence to show that they were not acting negligently and so you need to be able to prove otherwise.

In order to help you fight the court battle, you will need to contact an accident claim company who will put you in touch with a solicitor. The solicitor will be able to look at the evidence and put a case together for you. It will be much easier to let them do it because they have lots of experience and therefore know exactly what the best thing is to do.

It is a good idea to look around before choosing a solicitor. Because they do such an important job, you need to make sure that you make a good choice. You want to find out a bit more about who is available and their experience and success at dealing with cases like yours. It may take some time to do this work, but it will be worth it when you get a good solicitor who is capable of winning the case for you.

The judge will decide whether you can get compensation or not and how much you get. You should be able to get an idea of how much you might be likely t get from your solicitor. You will need to pay your solicitor out of your compensation money, but this is normally a percentage and so you should not be out of pocket.
