I like visiting different websites to find out what services they have to offer. I am a lecturer so i visit these websites for my research and also to advise my students on what webpages to visit to do their assignments. Recently i happened to stumble on a seo website. Sounded very strange. I decided to delve deeper in to the site to see what it had to offer, I learnt something new. I learnt a new concept of the internet. Search Engine Optimization. I already knew what a search engine is. It is like Google, Yahoo Search among others. Those sites you use to search for material on the internet. Now had does optimization come in. To optimize is making the best of something. Search engine optimization is the process of webpages making the best of these search engines. How? By adding your url to these search engines it makes it easier for your webpage to come up when a user searches for something that is on your webpage. It is very common and what many websites use.
